Devotional 05/20/20 - Fix Our Eyes on Eternity
Updated: May 27, 2020
"So we fix our eyes on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18)
Hello friends, as I continue my devotional on HOPE today, I thought I’d share with you my thoughts. I am realizing what happens when I’m guilty of putting too much hope in temporary things. While some of those “things” can bring me so much joy, they can also become distractions from the changes and work God is doing my life. So, as I ponder on how I can honor God in my actions today, I want to pray over these thoughts for you all and for me. I pray that we can see the areas in our day to day lives, where we are putting hope in what is seen and temporary instead of fixing our eyes on what is unseen and eternal. I pray that we set those distractions aside long enough to help us discover how God is working through us and what we can do to honor Him. In Jesus' name, Amen.
I am so excited to be writing again and cannot wait to share my upcoming posts with you all. You all have been there since the start of my blog with support, encouragement, and grace. I am forever thankful for each of you! God is at work in each of us friends, always at work. Love you all!
